My 1984 500SEC needs a replacement set of ignition leads. No problem - I duly order a set from Dronsfields and they duly arrive as advertised. Bummer - they are the incorrect size.[

I supplied the chassis number, model and year but I guess they are not all the same. Problem is the end connectors on the leads are too large a diameter for the distributor connections. My distributor has connections that sit up from the cap whereas these leads are for a more recessed distributor. What leads am I looking for and anyone know a good supplier? MB want £38 per lead - rather steep I fear. Obviously I am enquiring into the possibility of a swap to the correct type from Dronsfields but like to have a plan B. [
