Hi all,

I have a 2000 CLK W208 (63K on the clock) and last night I was heading out and turned the Air con on and all of a sudden water (ice cold fluid) started flowing into the passenger footwell. This eventually stopped but am none the wiser as to why or what this could be?!?!?

But when I turned the heating on full it stopped.

Has anyone seen this before?

Cheers

Water in Footwell

The only issue I have had with water in my footwell was when the drains in the engine below the windscreen which collect rain water and drain it to the bottom of the car were blocked with leaves and had overflowed, but I have never had that kind of problem.

There is an aircon drainage pipe behind the dash, if it's not attached properly as soon as you turn the aircon on you'll get loads of water coming from it. I think starts around the heater core area.

Mine was unplugged when I first fitted comand back in 2002 and you're right, turn on aircon and gallons of water seem to come out of it!
