Leaking Roof '95 500 sl

Hi. First post here.

I have recently acquired a 27k mile 500 sl which I want to get to near concours condition to have as a garaged weekend car to do about 2000 miles a year and keep as a long termer.

I made the mistake of taking to Lincoln Mercedes for a range of niggles/ replacement trim/ new side lights/ new main windsreen and side window seal/ rough tickover type repairs. None were essential, its me being fussy

The garage has left a much worse leaking roof than it was and also seemingly broken the catches that the main central air vent is screwed into so it is now at an angle !

Might people be able to recommend a good 129 specialist who can attend to the roof and central vent faults for me as I am not sure I want Lincoln Mercedes to touch my car again as they have done more damage than good so far. I work in Manchester but spend weekends in Lincoln

I have replaced the roof seals for such an issue. Where is the leak? At the front corner(s)?

unfortunately leaks on a soft top are always a pain to diagnose.

my guess would be alignment of the windows.

It is the front corners, thanks. They are not sealing properly against the two windows so the gutter is not pressing against the glass. One of the windows has play in it when it is elevated so I think the suggestion re the set up of the windows is well worth a look
