Leather Cleaner

The seats on my W211 are the black perforated leather type.
I purchased the recommended leather cleaner/care product from my Mercedes main dealer but have found when rubbing in the cream lotion on the seats it gets in to the holes and is difficult to get rid of.
I would think it would disappear over time but it still looks unsightly.
Has anyone had similar problems or can recommend another product to use?
Thanks.

I had exactly the same problem and tried several leather cleaners including Mequiars Gold Class, which was recommended to me. The best one I used was Mers leather cleaner which also gave a nice not too shiny finish.
This was a recommendation of Auto car Magazine.

Zymol leather cleather, it's a clear spray, really shifts dirt and dries quick. Had the same problem when I used Mercs(same as Meguiars) cleaner, ended up using a toothpick to get rid of the dots.

the mushroom leather seats on my coupe were quite grubby and gliptone leather cleaner didn't shift it. i used autoglym leather cleaner instead which is a non foaming detergent and it worked really well. it did leave the leather a bit dry so i used some connolly hide food to condition it. the bits that stuck in the perforations soon disappeared too so no need for a tooth pick!

I've also used a Zymol Leather Cleaner / Care. Comes in a clear plastic bottle and the liquid is orangey/gold. Simply sprays on following the instructions on the bottle leaves a nice finish, not shiny or greasy looking unlike some leather care treatments.

Have heared good stuff about Gliptone too, not tried it yet though...

Turtle wax with uva protection is good, i have used it on my perfarated leather without any problem.:)

I'll second the two stage Gliptone Cleaner and conditioner having used it on a few of my cars, though to be fair none of them have had *really* grubby interiors.

The conditioner does not appear to dry into the holes in the ventilated leather or stitched seams, and the only drawback is the cleaner seems to stink of TCP, but maybe thats just my nose :) I have tried a few of the other brands, but always seem to come back this one.

I usually get mine from here:

I found the sam untill I used an old tooth brush, lets just say that I thought the leather was a sandy beige colour........ untill it turned out creme!

Thanks for all your suggestions.

"Liquid leather" (do a google search) is very good. i use it on my perforated 7 series seats and only perf. CLK seats and it was fine!

Can confirm the Mers leather cleaner works very well.
Thanks again for all your suggestions.
