Leaving your key

Surely, all you need is a W126 to get to far flung lands in a day...

None of these complex new fangled jet turbines :D

I've never used valet parking, but why wouldn't I trust them with my car - presumably they are insured.

Ade

I do it all the time - APH at Manchester, Sentinel at Leeds - if they are one of the recognised secure sites you'll have no problems.

And a lot better than being away wondering what cretin has opened their door into yours!!

Haven't done it - except when attending a MB do by invite, but not a chance with my motors. IMHO - sorry I'm not that trusting.

If your happy to leave your keys when parking up for a holiday etc at one of the long stay airport transfer car parks then go for it, i personally wouldn't (more convenient/cheaper to get a cab to/from the airport for me) but it's a matter of choice.

Amazing how many cab drivers pass on the info that you are away though. :(

Done it loads of times. They're insured to the hilt and prob don't have the time to rag and enjoy your motor. Assume that its generally those who can afford to use them that have decent cars, and there's always someone with a better motor than you parked next door. The worst that can happen? They break it, they pay for it.

I just don't fly .

I don't see why I , as a paying customer and the one who is keeping the lot of them in jobs , should have to put up with being treated as a criminal/terrorist .

Interesting philosophy.

I don't see why I , as a paying customer and the one who is keeping the lot of them in jobs , should have to eat baked beans and be treated as a bean eating monster/methane machine.:)

They do not cover any damage to your car, if any damage occurs they will deny all responsibility and make you sign a waiver at the drop off.
I parked a c class once with purple parking and it came back scratched, I never got a penny for the remedial work.
When I was on the plane I could see how they parked my car and I can only think they climbed out through the window, there was no way they could have got the door open.

Since I have heard all sorts of stories of spotty teenagers racing cars around the compound.. Never Again... Pay and display every time.

If it were madame whiplash female I'd have no objection
To stop criminals and terrorists entering and leaving the Country.

That's not an airline issue, it's National Security.

There is that

But the real issue is that plane food is crap, and you can drive to pretty much anywhere I can think of where you want to go, within 4 days. The car therefore wins, and you can make the journey into a restuarant fest.

Job done.
