LED info.

Apologies if this has been asked before.

I recently fitted a set of LED sidelights to my CLS which puts the illumination within the foglights in the shade , so I am now going to replace the FL bulbs with some LED replacements.

When searching on the usual outlets there is a huge difference in the price of the H11 error free items (£1.59 -- £20+) so has anyone fitted a set ,that function as they should ,and can recommend a supplier preferably in the UK.

I believe KillerHERTZ may have the answers you need and potentially also the actual LEDs.

Can you fit LEDs in the foglights? The cornering function has a kind of fade on, fade off illumination of the fog lamp. I understood LEDs cannot be dimmed and will tend to burn out the controller.

RE cornering function - Good point Simon and something I did not consider

It maybe just be better to fit a set of H11 halogens that give a "whiter" light to compliment the sidelights .

Can anyone shed a bit more light ()on the above post by Simon before I order these :

I know LED`s have been fitted to the fogs on the 55 + 63 but they don't have the cornering function AFAIK

Good to know ,did you buy just the bulbs or did you have to get the extra wiring with the built in resistor to overcome the "error" message ?
