Hi

My CLK55AMG W208 is going into limp mode if I exceed 3000 revs under load. Gives you a fright if you are overtaking at the time!
When I got home I rushed to check the gearbox oil and the level was correct and the oil looked fine (changed about 10K ago). Carsoft reports 0150 O2 probe left signal not OK. In live mode the reading of the left probe does not change whilst the right reading goes up and down as you change revs.
Could this cause the limp mode? Is it just necessary to change the O2 probe or does it sound like a wiring issue?
Be gentle please!

Richard

Hi,

Trouble code P0150 means: O2 Circuit Slow Response (Bank 2, Sensor 1)

I had the same problem with my e430 cleaned the wire connection with WD40, worked for about week then probe failed completely. Have the o2 sensors been replaced during the life of the car, 100k + should be changed...

Thanks. The RH was changed at about 80K but the LH is orignal (98K). What is different is that when the RH failed it did not cause the car to go into limp mode but perhaps it did not fail completly.

Check the air mass sensor too. They can go together.

Do a complete carsoft diagnostic in case of other faults linking towards the limp, attach copy of the report.
