During a visit to the local dealership today while my S204 was getting the front airbag replacement (recall) I had the obligatory walk around and noticed a rather bright looking A35. Upon a closer inspection the information sheet revealed a service that may be of interest to others. We have heard of this method being used before, but I wasn't aware Mercedes (Sytner) were now offering it.

Of course there is the usual concern of damaging the paint when removing the sprayed protection.

Any other dealerships offering this service?
Anybody had it done or contemplating it?

I think Topaz were one of the first to offer this kind of product in the UK.

AKA peeable paint.

When I looked at it the cost was similar to a full respray if done properly.

Yeah, I kow it has been around a while, but I was surprised to see a dealership offering it.

There's a new W206 for sale on MB website , might be a Sytner dealership , and it's in a very vivid Lime Green , quite like it actually.

Just tried to find it , but it's not there any more.

I never bothered to ask, I had just managed to escape/deflect the "Are you interested in purchasing a new car, Sir" speel.
I would imagine there would be less expensive establishments to have it done though.
