Guys,

Need help. I have lost my locking wheel nut key for my cls .. From where do i get a replacement? And how much is that for?

Main dealer, assuming they are the original Merc ones. Don't know the price but not too bad I don't think. Most main dealers have master sets of all of them to check which one it is.

Just called the dealer .. Quoted 65 just to use master key set and will let me know the cost of a replacement ...
This is robbery !!! :(

I recently had to do the same thing, took the car to the dealer (Mercedes locking nut). was only about £20 inc vat

Yep , left mine by the side of the road.

Took it to Brooklands , man came out with a big box , went through until found the right one .... That's number ** sir , £20 please.

The dealer is taking you for a ride , go to another dealer.

Ok yes ... I called the London Chelsea one and he said 35 ...
Do they give it then and there??

The first one added 65 as I am taking the car for servicing so he said he added 30 mins of labour time to unlock the wheels as i dont have the key

Give what ? The locking key ?

Assuming its in stock it's the same as buying any other part

£35 is still too much, I find Mercedes Stratford very good for parts, if you can (or anywhere near) go there.

It shouldn't be more than £25, and yes I got mine there and then

Oh thanks man ....
I can go to Stratford then...

Cancel the service at least until you've got a new key. Maybe take it elsewhere after too?

Do you still need locking wheel nuts these days? Two too many lost in the past so now I don't use them.

Wheels are still stolen, a friend of mine had a new Golf, weeks old and one morning found it on bricks, weeks later until new wheels and tyres fitted as it was so new!

Mercedes should have the key number on a small label in your service book.

Force them off. Then get a better set. The mercedes key are made out of very weak metal. They are ****e !!!

Sent from my iPhone using MBClub UK

I've had the same trouble. Went to Mercedes in Stratford having taken a mould of the bolt on the wheel using an old piece of clay bar. Replaced it there and then for about £27. Worst is you may need to wait for them to order it in.
