Logbook replacement

Hi,
Came home from work the other day, opened my mail and as i had been waiting for a new logbook reflecting the engine change in the 43, I was surprised to see a new logbook for my C230k which now has a red front page as opposed to blue, the gumpf that was also enclosed with the new logbook said they were in the process of replacing all the old blue logbooks to the new red ones as they had had some blank blue ones stolen.
Just wondered if anyone else has had a new logbook issued lately?

Yes, got the red one when I changed to private plate.

Got two red topped V5C's the other day for two of my motorbikes, it seems they're replacing them all as quickly as they can.

I never changed any details on the C230k, they just sent me a new one exactly the same as my existing one but red Not blue.
They do seem to be changing them out ASAP. Anyone seen anything in the press about it?

The Vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C)

All Vehicle Registration Certificates (V5C) now issued by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) have a new look. The new red V5C makes it clear it is not proof of ownership. It also provides details of where you can get advice on buying a used vehicle.

Got it too.....funny I sold my old bmw couple of weeks back.Sent the logbook to Dvla and recived a replecement by post.Probably a delay in updating keepers lol.End up with the logbook for a car I don't have-nice one

The DVLA have been sending these out for a while now.

Apparently a load of the old green type log books were stolen so they are being replaced by red ones. The DVLA fear fraudulent green log books are in circulation so any future buyers better double check details. Must have been a lot went missing for them to take this action.

A **** -up at Dvla ? surely not ?
