Folks

Maybe this is all in my head but the e55 seems to be a little less savage than what it was a few days back. When I first bought it the first thing I did was test it against the 911 and it held its own. Took it out last night and it still did wellish but just didnt feel like it did before.

I have been driving like miss daisy for the past few days but this surely cant have made it ill can it??

All i can think of is maybe the auto box isnt as sharp or the afm is a little sick..or maybe im just imagining it!

Any ideas?

P.s..i havent been road racing!

Search the forum for gearbox reset. That will allow the gearbox to match your driving style. Being a V8, when are you due a plug change? (every 60,000 miles).

try changing the air filters or at least clearing/dusting them out ...

:D Take the CDI badges off, you've convinced it the poor thing is a 220 diesel. ;)

Good luck

thanks all.

air filters are new and checked those last week. its a shame its not as economical as the cdi!

Will try the gearbox reset this wkend. Just can't stand things not being quite 100% right on my cars. I didnt sleep for a week knowing the air freshner was running out.

In the words of dr frankenstein..'its alive!!'

the gearbox reset has worked an absolute dream. The response off the mark and low down is instant and is actually better than when i bought it. i couldnt stop grinning all the way home after work...

thanks for the advice.
