I seem to have lost the volume on my Comand when receiving or making a phone call?

Can't see anywhere how this is adjusted?

A few searches have indicated that using the + & - arrows on the steering wheel whilst a call is in progress works but it seems not.

Can't see anything in the Comand booklet either??

Have you tried the volume knob on the comand during a call?

Yes, tried everything I can think off?

My car had the old iPhone 4 cradle and when it was in for a recent service I had it updated for my 4S phone.

Worked straight away and the volume was at the right level when I received the car back so I've never had cause to see how it adjusts.

I don't use the car that much so weeks went by without me ever receiving or making a call whilst in the car but next time I did all that happens is the handset rings but nothing happens through the speakers.

All other functions work as they should through the Comand, I just have no volume at all??

:(

Surely not the mute button!

Sorry for suggesting it, but you never know.

No, tried that as well!

Seems no one knows how to adjust the volume anyway, working or not by today's searches.

Bet I draw a blank with MB? :(

Try all the basic stuff. Unpair the cradle on comand, unpair cradle on the phone, remove and reinsert cradle and make new pairings.

You got instructions from the first reply on how to adjust the audio volume for your phone calls (receiver side at the car), it does not help if you "complain" about missing guidance (the car manuals also cover this).

Considering steering wheel buttons, I cannot remember if the specific cluster menu needs to be selected first? I thought for audio volume it would not matter.

Seems like something would be quite wrong with your phone set-up if it was fine with your previous phone, hopefully instructions from npuk help.

Hi DB,

Not intentionaly trying to complain, just frustrated! :wallbash:

I've tried everyones advice but to no avail.

Unpairing and re-pairing makes no diff, turning the volume buttons up whilst an incomming or outgoing call is ringing, or connected just gives louder hiss as though the Phone's audio output is just not connecting.

The Comands phone functions all work and the Comand cuts the Radio volume when a call comes in but I'm just met with silence.

If you lift the phone cradle cover you can hear the audio from the phone faintly so the phone is still outputting to the phone, not sure whether this would be cut out normally or not?

Driving me mad this one!

Update!

Tried another iPhone 4S and this one works!

It's either a software update bug or my phones faulty.

Just going to check software versions before going any further.

Never had this myther with Nokia's!
