Loud Knocking noise

Went over speed bumps earlier (not fast) and heard very loud clunging noise/knocking from rear. Exhaust is fine, any suggestions?

Had it checked out today, exhaust OK, and springs and shocks all look ok. Checked spare wheel and is all secure. Only happens when over bumps, runs fine?

battery not clamped in tray properly?

It hasent got the drop arms on the front roll bar like the vito has it, these will knock and make a right clatter when you go over bumps if the ball joints are warn. Sounds just like the exhaust banging on the underside of the car, cheap and easy to replace if it is that

Check engine mounts and the flex (donuts) of the shaft...

ah right, its got service i 2 weeks, hopefully they'll find it.

Anti roll bar bushes, roll bar links and thrust arm bushes are the usual cause.

Did you jack up the car and remove the rear wheels to inspect the rear springs? It's sometimes very difficult to see the breaks at the ends - MOT inspectors even miss them.

Had car serviced last week. They found that BOTH rear springs had broken. £194 for both to be replaced, decent price I thought. Pick up 2mora
