Low miles G300D in yellow

nice money if ya get it

Wow, good spot. Went cheap at auction ... Yellow not doing it any favours i guess.

If it's as good as described it'll not be worth less than ten, so yup, good auction buy. Be honest, colour doesn't really bother me (I sort of like it).

I once looked at a yellow SL60 but didn't have the cahonies. Sometimes I think it would have had a wee bit more character than silver.

I know what you mean ... I would consider it also but not sure most people would. Its not the car for me because its not a V8.
There is a guy local with a yellow Audi S3 with yellow Alcantara / black leather interior. I nearly asked him yesterday if I could buy it. I still might but have to decide what to do with my cars.
Probably keeping the SL as I love it and about to replace all the suspension and take it to D Class for some leather work next month. My BMW has to go which I use for work (but ideally need another work car) and I need to either spend some money on my Range Rover or chop it in/sell.
Also seriously looking at getting an orange hemi Challenger at the mo... Drove one the other week and in love!

So many decisions to make :D

I've only recently managed to cut down to three having had four on and off for a fair while. Next step is reducing from three to two which I should do soon(ish) when my SL goes.

I'm permanently on the lookout for a RHD SWB V8 G. Few and far between:(

I hadnt seen yellow but saw quite a few other colours and there was a brand new orange one in a show room both me and my wife fell in love with. We had a gunmetal one last week and it was great fun.
Dilema is as nice as they are the 2015 (might be late 2014) facelift interior is miles better so i might put it on hold and buy an ex demo or nearly new one in the new year.
Other issue is I also fell for the Charger Superbee but I think the Challenger will win out especially with its new interior. I tried to buy a brand new challenger last week and they refused to sell me one because Dodge are saying no to new ones being exported apparently. Probably better value to buy nearly new anyway.

Like you I ideally only want two cars but its hard. Need something fun for work (could be a 2 seater so SL likely to stay and become work car but get even more of a refurb, but also keeping half an eye out for a special SL or anything else nice)
I then need something to take the kids about in (needs 5 seats) so RR and BMW currently covering that with RR particularily useful for winter. This is where i see option to combine but it needs to be fun still and 4wd.
Ultimately I could see a Challenger becoming the fun car and an audi S8 becoming the family car but open to all ideas at the moment.

How about throwing an FX50 into the mix?

I don't really know anything about Infinity (just wrote Lexus!) ... What year should I be looking at? Not owned many Japanese cars but open minded.

AFAIAA they've not been around that long in this country. I think they've changed name from FX to QX (just to complicate matters) but I've been looking at 3/4/5 year old examples. Here's a 2011 for £22K. Pretty much in the park I'm thinking about. Not driven one yet but apparently they are super well built, terrific handling (for a 4x4). Nissan on steroids. Dave (DSLiverpool has one and in is happy with it) AND it is a V8!!
Infiniti FX 5.0 V8 S 5dr Auto

ETA: My MY200 Lexus GS is built like MB used to build cars. Quality.

Looks nice for sure. I think though I would prefer a 5.2 S8 or a newer Range Rover but thats without seeing one in the flesh.
Also my pockets are not deep enough to spend that on the 4wd unless I lose the Challenger idea. I actually want what doesnt exist ... I proper 5 seat convertible with huge power.

I seem to recall the FX has the GTR as it's base which accounts for its terrific handling

That has to be a good thing!
