M-B Bluetooth question - possible to use both SAP and HFP?

Mrs BTB and I have new handsets (Nokia X6 and Sony Ericsson W995 respectively). I know the X6 supports SAP, and I'm pretty sure the W995 only supports HFP.

Is there any single solution that will allow us to use SAP with my phone (the Vito has factory pre-wire with the external antenna), and HFP with Mrs BTB's? I've looked at the M-B SAP module instructions and it only appears to support SAP.

If this isn't possible then I guess we'll be visting Comand Online for a ViseeO, to use HFP for both phones.

the SAP cradle is 'supposed' to support HFP aswell. however i've never had much luck with it!

The HFP or the Viseeo will work with both phones as they both support the HFP protocaol.

Thanks Alfie. I managed to find the SAP V3 manual here:

But HFP isn't mentioned at all?

I would shell out for the SAP module if I knew it was going to work with the W995 in HFP mode ... but it's a lot of money to take a gamble on!

So I guess it will be a Viseeo and HFP for both phones

Well I guess it's not unusual. Mrs BTB and I had the same handsets before (Nokia 6230i), so a simple cradle worked perfectly.

Unfortunately she thought the X6 was a bit big, hence she insisted on the W995 this time.

Check out e-bay for a new Viseeo MB-2, i just paid £135 inc. post for one.

Your Nokia would support both SAP and HF profiles, I'm afraid you have to change the BT adapter to a HF version (MB or ViseeO) to make it work with both phones (if not even the V3 adapter supports both, that is a shame because my 5+ years old after market HF kit did support both, should have been easy for MB/Peiker to do the same today).
