Hi All,

I was looking at a review of the 300e last night before going to look at one today and I'm sure I saw a reference to a seventh plug.

I forgot about it until I looked under the bonnet today and saw one - or what looked like one - on the right hand side of the engine near the dipstick. I can't find the site from yesterday, my IE 11 history has failed.
Can anyone shed any light, please?
It looked like it had two vac lines going into the top.

Cheers,

Paul

There is a cold start valve that injects a small amount of petrol into the intake on cold starts. Could this be what you are talking about? It's just under the airbox on the rhs of the engine.

Thanks,
I'll post an image to be sure.
Much appreciated - I think the mechanic put a plug in it!
Cheers,

Paul

I think it the thermo time switch with two vacuum pipes one to throttle body and one to regeneration valve. Near the ezl ,on the inner wing. M103 is only 6 plugs.

Image should enlarge.

There's no rust whatsoever on this car and it's got a reiserechner, hard to resist despite a little paint fade.
