For those of you who drive it everyday, then here's a program to watch! :p

London Orbital

I used to drive on the M25 every Friday afternoon from Junction 16 M40 to Junction 30 Lakeside. 9/10 there were serious delays from J28 to J30.

Hated it, hated it, hated it.

Might be interesting but as its so late I won't.

I did a whole lap of it once in a removal lorry in one day ...

Got on at Jcn 13 ( from Teddington ) , drove the northern route round to Stansted ( M11 ) , then on the way back , went the southern route , just so i could say i've done a lap in a day ...

God i'm sad .... :o

At least you had a valid purpose for doing it.
Sad, would have been if you'd done it just for the hell of it :)

So come on folks, own up now, who has!?

Never been even half way round it. We regularly drive down to Kent to shop at Bluewater and get on from the M1, getting off again at Dartford - that's probably the only sections I have ever driven! Whenever heading down that way for anything else I avoid it like the plague!

...guilty y'honour, sort of. Once back in my yoof I dropped a mate off at Gatwick Airport and went the long way home back to Essex just to say I'd done the whole 'circuit.' It was crack of dawn on a Sunday though and before speeding was a hanging offence so it wasn't too time-consuming.

Some years ago, before the M40 opened I occassionally had to travel up to the West Midlands for a days work, I could go up in the morning around the eastern end and come back round the western end.
A21, M25, M1, M6 return M6, M1, complete the lap of the M25 and back down the A21.
Sometimes I travelled the opposite way around the M25 just for fun

guilty on this one:crazy: well it was my bro i was in the car and we where going to east london so from the M4 on he was supposed to go north bound instead he went south bound:doh: i kept quiet:devil: lol

and what made it even more funny was he missed his junction to get off so he missed hit appointment and ended up coming home lol that night was funny

I remember a story a few years back about an old couple who had been driving around the M25 for 2 days because they were lost and couldn't find where to get off:eek:

fun??????

All of a sudden it seeems that I lead a remarkably exciting life:D

When the M60 first opened I did a lap just for a chuckle :) . I've done another lap since due to traffic/diversions.

Unlike the M25 however the M60's ends connect together to make a full loop...

I've done a lap of the M25 before, I have no idea why I did it. I think it was when I first passed my test and didn't have much experience of driving on motorways so I drove around the m25 at 4am to understand more about how to use them correctly.

I used to do several laps a weekend in 1988 -the "2nd Summer of Love", driving truck loads of gear for the free M25 parties :):):)

Before the police closed them down ? ;)

Yes indeed. The powers that be freaked out and brought in laws about more than 3 people gathered in one place listening to a series of repetitive beats and so on. In fact, the free party movement launched the dance music industry that has earned this country literally billions over the years :)

Bit of a body swerve back to the original topic.

I recorded the documentary and just tried to watch it. What a heap of indescribably pretentious b******s it was.

Yep!...did the same and felt the same:o

Quite a number of people have circumnavigated the M25 in less than an hour.
