Makita 36v pressure washer

Been looking for some time for a portable rechargable power washer .Every one i looked at had poor pressure. So looking at the mains type now .Not for car washing other than the wheels more for patio and slabs .
The battery powered devices are great for what they are - and ample for cars - but they’re not a substitute for a “proper” pressure washer on other jobs.

We have a Honda petrol pressure washer that we used for the patios. If I were to use the battery one I think I would be there all day. The makita battery one will lift the grime off the patio but for an example if it takes 30 seconds per slab with the makita the Honda would do it in 5 seconds.

If anyone is looking for a makita 36v then keep an eye on FFX tools on eBay. They often have 15% off bringing it down to about £280 for the tank and washer set. No batteries though.

As I have Ryobi kit, and so a stock of batteries I bought the RY18pwx41a-140.
7 bar on rinse to clean the mud monster after a walk,
41 bar on turbo to clean our boots.

It gets used for other stuff as well, it being portable means it can clean stuff around the garden., and taken with us if we're travelling.
I did adapt the head so it didn't need the lance though.
I made my own hose to screw into a 15 litre water container. But if near a lake it comes with a 6m hose to take straight from that.

Quite....even the 135 bar on my 240v Stanley one is barely enough for patio/decking cleaning .....30 is enough for removing mud and lose mater but not man enough for real cleaning. I appreciate the versatility of not needing mains though but don't think Id have any use for one.

Another down side is the need to refill the 15 litre container. It can go through that pretty fast.

But for the hound 7 bar is enough, mostly.
And being able to use it like a pistol drill means I can hold, say the boots, and aim with t'other hand.
My Karcher would blast both dog and boots across the driveway. And fill the boots in the process.

Remind me never to use our Honda on the dog!
