2014 w222 LWB AMG Line.
Anyone fitted MB 18 inch wheel as per w221 SE model to a W222 AMG Line fitted with 19 inch wheels? the disc calipers have a clearance of 11mm between them and the inside rim of the MB 19 incg wheel rim.
2 MB dealers say the A2224011900 rims standard 18 inch on the W222 SE will fit. 1 Dealer says No.
Anyone know for certain that they will fit . Rears appear to fit ok.

It would be very very close...about 1.5mm if the metal is the same thickness as the 19s.

Thanks for Info. Need to be certain before purchase. They're not cheap!

If the clearance was only 1.5mm I'd be terrified of hitting a pothole and denting the wheel. That's bad enough but if it then smacks the caliper bad things might happen.

Is the ride a bit firm?

A few mm doesn't sound like much! How did everything turn out?

I've decided not to get wheels 1" smaller (I've 20" on my W222) but was tempted when the local main dealer said that was the greatest difference that they recommended.
