Hi guys

If you saw my other post I am deciding between a CLS, E class or C class. For now I am going with the CLS (its what the heart wants!). I am looking at a CLS 250/350 AMG Sport (cannot afford the CLS63 just yet)

I have a couple of questions I was hoping you guys could help with:

  • From 2011 - 2014 are there any significant changes to the car that would mean getting one year over the other would be better?
  • 250 vs 350 whats the general consensus here?
Thanks guys.

Ive had a 2013 250 AMG Sport for 2 years / 26k

I previously owned 3 different Mercs with the '350' V6 diesel.

To me, the 250 is absolutely fine. I don't especially miss the V6. The 250 has all the urge you need and mine has a lifetime average of 50 mpg, with 60 being possible on long trips.

I'm not aware of any noticeable revisions before 2014.

According to the car, my 14 350 CLS gets 53mpg on a run around the M25 & M4 with an average speed of 62 reflecting variable speed limits.

is a manual gearbox version in cls 250 ?
