hers - slk 320, his - dull diesel BMW fleet :/, Xtrail, Honda CBR 1100xx, Yamaha YZF600, Ribble Road
SOme of you will remember this

well today was the day - and what can I say - there isn't an emoticon in sight that can describe the grin I'm wearing right now.

I drove 10 diff cars two twice ;) went in the "performance" car twice, did the road test, ABS and EPS tests too - and I want another go pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze :D

Here's what I drove:
C220 CDI
A170 D
CL600 - twice ;) almost my fave car
CLK320
SL500
E320
C230
C220 CDI est twice - amazing handling
S320 CDI
and finally - CLK 500 - no holds barred run ;)

Performance car was (Brian drum roll) E320 CDI = was brill
road test was an S class
ABS E class estate
ESP E class

And to top it all - I WON best girly driver of the day - so got a MB Teddy and Picture frame and we all got an MB cap which was worn all the way home coz the sun is out :D

I have had the best day imaginable. If you ever ever get the chance for sommat like this - grab it and enjoy. The instructors are amazing.

There was about 100 of us there and a huge range of cars. They managed to get in over 700 goes in the day - pretty good.

Guess who IS gonna do this again.

Best car - CLK 500, very closely followed by the CL600 - loved that car - plus the instructor was Peter Stringfellow's son and he was lovely, best handling C220 estate - held that road like glue - just didn't have the top end on the straight.

The performance car was amazing - all down to the driver of course - but that was the best drive I've ever ever had.

Didn't bother queueing for the AMG's - rather spent the time on the track :bannana: :bannana: :bannana:

I have had the best time ever - enjoyed every single second. Any chance to do it again - count me in!!

Glad you enjoyed it Pammy and especially glad to hear your kind words about the Performance car ;)

hehe - sorry Marcos - forgot you had one of those too ;) It was great fun though - driving a "normal" car like that - great fun :D

Nice one! I did a similiar thing at Goodwood a few years ago and I can still remember driving some of the bends. Well done :bannana: :bannana:

Now I have a wide grin cuz pammy has praised my C220CDi

I was really impressed with it's handling. I expected it to roll much more than it did - it loved keeping it's speed up while hitting the bends. Like I said - only missed the power on the straight but on the rest of the track it was very sweet indeed - you have every right to wear a grin :D

I just did something similiar at Donnington yesterday, agree the CL600 is an amazing car!!

Best part of the day was catching a S class in the A210, but he wouldn't let us past!!

I came 3rd overall :D

cheers,

Greg
