I’m back in the Merc world having picked up a 2014 E220 AMG Sport a couple of weeks back - delighted with her.

problem I’m having is that I bought the iCarsoft MB V2.0 last week direct from iCarsoft in the Netherlands. I wanted it specifically for DPF regens. When I got it, firstly the software on it was V1.3 even though they had a little leaflet with it claiming it was up to date, secondly my E220 wasn’t listed!!!
Updated the software to V11.30 and now the car is listed but no manual regen option. Only an option to regen whilst driving but when I go to set this up I get “Communications Failure. Application Failed” on screen. I’ve emailed them about it and have been completely ignored, not one response.

has anyone here had this issue or know of a workaround? Scanner currently reading DPF fill level at 61%, Soot Content 4g

I just forced a regen on an W212 E220 CDI. I used my icarsoft MB v2.0 diagnostic to:
Go to diagnostics
Smart Scan
Read the fault code under ECM
Clear the fault code under ECM
Go to service menu
Select DPF
Select E350 CDI (no E220 CDI unfortunately)
Select relearn DPF after replacement (or something like that)
Prompts you that this is the wrong car, do you want to force regen?
First question was are you doing this because of known oil loss? I wasnt so I selected No
Asks to do a test that takes a while and the ignition will need to be on
Car at that point did the regen - engine reached 1700 rpm at some point
Diagnostic then says you need to do the regen while driving the car
Proceeded without driving - communication error but the DPF regen was already done down from 400% to 15%
Car will be driven on the highway for a few hours now at 70mph. My cousin who is an indiein the US suggested "i floored it". I replied I am already taking the speed awarness course :p
Hope this helps

Thanks for that johnny1, just tried it there but again the same “communications failure” keeps popping up.

pain in the ass, it’s the only real reason I bought the scanner and for it not to do what they say with zero customer support is a joke

Sorry didn’t work have you looked on any other forums
