A140 - getting lifts from her
In the A class does the "L" at the end of the numbers i.e 140L or 160L etc mean it is a Long Wheel Base?

It means that it is "Long wheelbase" - basically there is more leg room for the rear passengers - therefore the lenght of the car is actually longer than the standard models.

cheers flash thought so - looking for one and this has opened a whole new search on AutoTrader!!

Not a problem - A Class (standard version) is already very generous for legroom in the rear probabaly the same as my W203 if not then better due to the sandwich floor concept desigh - The long wheelbase would be great and nice spec car.
