Mercedes 0-60mph/Quarter Mile Times

Quite interesting. Shows the 0-60 time for my C350 at about what I would expect (5.8 sec).

Reminds me that I've been wondering whether or not the time is reduced when the Dynamic Handling "Sport" button is pressed. This gives "faster throttle response" and "more aggressive gear shifts that optimise acceleration", and it certainly feels faster. But is it? I know I could check mine out with a stop watch, but I'd prefer to see a more scientific/accurate test.

A load of rubbish unless they have all been hand timed by Dieselman :D

Jules.

Perhaps Benzedup's Butt-plug dyno would be better.

Some of those times look abit questionable.

What's also interesting is a reference to a 2016 CLK coupe in the pipelines...

Are these taken from unmodified cars?

2005 Mercedes E55 AMG 0-60 mph 4.1 Quarter Mile 12.2

2007 Mercedes E63 AMG 0-60 mph 4.1 Quarter mile 12.4

Wouldn't have though the 63 would be outdone by the 55 :dk:

The 55K engine has much more punch than a 63.

Honestly...it's nearly 600psi.

Had it in my head, from nowhere in particular, that the extra gearing would give the 63 and advantage, at least over short runs.

Happy to be wrong :)
