You could order Sportline Interior separate from the other Sporline extras.
If you did this then you got the upgraded Sportline leather seats which look identical to the E500 Seats.

The 500e and sportline seats are the same, made by recaro

The full package on the saloon or estate comes with those seats

shame its got such a big mileage on it - the engine would do me a treat !

I thought you had found an engine John?

I bought an early w140 which was a 300se with the 24v head. Sadly, although the ignition system was similar the fueling and the likes were totally different. Had a quick chat oth a couple of people and the consensus was the labour involved strriping it all back, changing the ancilliaries etc would be better spent on taking the head off mine and doing it.

Time though is is the problem - we can lash an engine in and out pretty quickly so the garage isnt cluttered for days on end while heads are machined (if required) etc, plus mine has a fairly major oil leak. Hence the preferred option of drive it, check it, strip it, then plug n play.

To be honest, mine would make a really good project car ie AMG engine or whatever - it would be really special, and would therefore help me recover some of my outlay, plus it would be a stonker. Trouble is, with all this newfangled technology its not so easy anymore unless you really know your onions.

Conundrum.

HEATED black leather with armrest and rear wooden storage box? That's well nice :)

Plus A/C and sportline steering wheel...I want to strip that car :D

Cheers, i thought that was the case, anyone have any ideas why ?

Is a full-spec sportline saloon rare?

It is very rare but is getting rarer :thumb:

It went up in the end, anyone here?

I think this note may have helped push it up that little bit too:

On 18-Sep-10 at 19:10:44 BST, seller added the following information:
