I don't think it looks good.

Either it's the body kit not suiting it or the wheels are too boring to go with the body.

I think the wheels are late Carat ones ? the w124 ones were flat faced and quite angular.

I like the look of the car, IMO the older style carat wheels suit the w124 better.

As its pre-facelift would not the bumpers normally be black? Would the colour coding thats present be something done by Carat or a later re-spray?

They did a first facelift in 1990, which introduced the slab sides. These were normally a different shade of the main body colour. It was either speced with the carat kit in mind or as you suggest done at a later date, looks a lot better all in one colour.

Carats main business nowadays is armouring , but back in the day , they used to do conversions, like AMG , Brabus, Lorinser et al .

Shame, it was armoured I might bid on it for a 2nd fun car. Would be a real talking point.
