Hi Guys,

Has anyone written a letter to Mercedes Benz customer services in the UK?

I recently wrote a letter to : Mercedes-Benz UK Limited, Delaware Drive, Tongwell, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK15 8BA

I wondered how long I should wait for a reply? What would be a reasonable amount of time? A week? 2 weeks?

I've never done it before, so I don't know what to expect, if anything?

Cheers,
Blondebier

PS. It is a complaint letter

Did you initially call them? As sometimes a phone call can be as effective or you could phone them to ask if they have received your letter.

I haven't called them yet.

I sent the letter recorded delivery so I know that they have received it.

I'm considering whether I should write to Herr Mercedes-Benz in Deutschland if I don't get a reply...?

You could try MB Europe, via an e-mail or telephone.

They will ask for the V5 document if your asking information about your vehicle.

Are you complaining about MB's service in general?

I don't really want to say too much before I have given them the opportunity to reply.

If I don't get a satisfactory response, then I will very gladly tell all.

If customer services aren't working I have found a letter to the UK MD sometimes moves things along. From my experience Customer Service is less about the customer and more about costing the business the least amount of money.

You need to address it to the right person and you can expect a reply within a few days.

Will send PM.

Send a copy of your first letter to the MD,I did and soon got a reply.

Hi, Good Luck .

When it comes to Customer Service MB are the worst ever.

I have dealt with Milton Keynes before and the head poncho ages ago.

Believe you will get messed about and they will baffle you with science and fob you off.

I wish you luck

KEEP US POSTED HOW YOU GET ON!!!

In my experience any business that has a "customer service department" is by by definition generally an unutterable failure at everything most customers would reasonably expect it to do.

I emailed the MD of Customer Service at MK with a serious complaint and within one hour i had received a reply from him and he sorted it.

When I issued a Small Claims Court summons to get a much-delayed deposit on an aborted car purchase returned they couldn't move quick enough!

I have only contacted MB Customer Services by email. I usually get a standard acknowledgemnt email within 1 day and an 'answer' within another 3 days. I am not completely convinced that I get a truly considered technical reply until I send a further query to them.

I have written twice to Mercedes head office and received a reply within two days. They were very helpful and i cannot thank them enough with the 1) delivery issues on my car from a mercedes garage from London & 2) overcharging (received a cheque in the post)

Royal Mail

Never trust the Royal Mail for anything important unless you send using 'Royal Mail Special Delivery' (at a price). Your letter is then separated and goes through a different system as it is guaranteed delivery next day and HAS to be signed for.

Which garage? What did they overcharge you for?

I am thinking of saying MB Watford are charging too much for their servicing. £556 is too much for a basic B service as I asked for an up -to -date price and received that.

Furthermore all the London dealerships state, fixed price servicing at £399 for the ML.

I emailed MB HQ and got a reply withing 3 days and the matter resolved with the dealer within 2 weeks.

Hi, do you have MB direct customer services email address, cheers Pete
