I know that different manufacturers run different model cycles, e.g. Ford & GM used to be typically facelift after four years and replace after eight, while the Japanese manufacturers tended to be facelift after three years and replace after six. I also know that the lifespan tends to get stretched for some more specialised and hence lower volume models.
So, the question is: what is the current "standard" cycle for Mercedes-Benz cars? Also, how distorted does this get for the UK market which seems to get new models some time after they're launched in continental Europe?
