According to Dr. Olaf Göttgens, Vice President Brand Communications Mercedes-Benz Cars: "Our new sound logo is going to make the Mercedes-Benz brand not only visually, but also acoustically distinctive" there's a chance to hear it at the end of the E class advert mentioned in the link above. Don't you just love the "alternative reality" of the marketing guys.

P.S. appart from the pointless "logo" I rather liked the advert and its Andy Williams sound track.

Like the alternative one

Expect all companies to have a distinctive sound logo soon.... I have a mate who set up a branding company a few years ago.. he is very busy no doubt moving company logos round a page.

I'm off to think one up for my company... ......mmm... potential clients hear a choir of angels... .. we hear ker-ching..

That ad might start a new craze of badge theft with words like “cant get used to loosing you” and images both positive and negative of the badge being “handled”, I do like the ad though.

I don't mind it. I think it's a lot better than that guitar bit they used for Ford. I sympathise with the child...if I see a crooked bonnet star, I want to straighten it, but at 50mph, it's a tad dangerous
