I've driven a c55 before , when they were new , and it's stuck in my mind ever since.

I've thought about e55's too , but the idea of a thousand pound bill for a shock , or a pump or any number of other things just puts me off too much. I suppose if I could find one with documentary evidence that it had all been done and I might be tempted.

I'm much the same pal.

The potential running costs of the 55K models puts me right off.
