I was thinking that due to it being a 1999 they simply chucked everything on it because the W203 was due.

I don’t think the W203 came out for a year or two later

^^That’s just text from Wikipedia. Anyone can edit that - but in all seriousness I think the earliest W203 I’ve seen is on a X-plate.

The car and classic W202 is a T-plate - early part of 1999 (May). You then have V, W and then X was August 2000 onwards until early 2001.

I’ve seen X and Y-plate W202s too
