Mercedes C Class W205 full review

9 months old - that's fresh! Deane posted an article that was 8 years old earlier today.

Deane - you given up on your 350e and bought a Delorean from Doc Brown? ;)

So what !! not every one has seen it ...there is always some one on here to pick at things ,you would think they would have better things to do

8 years old, 8 months or 8 hours, I couldn't care less. Fact is I have never seen it before and I am grateful to you for the post.
Have to say it is very interesting and I am glad that it is the older model because we will get the MY 16 iteration plus of course with the hybrid technology so it can only get better :)

Can't imagine what lens is fixed to the video camera because the perspective renders the
C-Class to a very odd shape, all squashed up :)

As long as it has never been posted on this forum before, that is enough for me to say "thank you"... which is actually the case for this link :thumb:

From about now the 350e is being built with the model year 2016 changes. Mosly cosmetic, some changes to chrome embellishment here and there and a few other changes detailed in an earlier post.

What was 8 years old then ???

Oh I see the tesco petrol link..the age had no relevance tho ..unreal

 My comment was intended to be on the lines of innocuous banter. Clearly struck a nerve - and for that, I can only apologise.

Don't worry I often take things the wrong way it's one of my biggest floors along with being hot headed , it's some times hard with writing as one can't read a person ,my apologise I am deeply sorry :thumb:

Harmony in the Force returns once more.

Plug-in electrical cars are all good and well for people who live in houses with garages.

Sadly there is no solution in sight for city-dwellers who park in the street overnight.

Not until someone actually decides to make the multi-million Pounds investment required to fit an electrical charging socket next to each and every parking place.

Untill then, for me the C350e will remain the stuff of dreams.... literally.

Depends where you live. OLEV tell me that a number of boroughs in London have signed up to the "On street charging " scheme. My own council are considering it and other owners here are pursuing their councils.

Thanks, but I see this a an attempt to bypass the core issue....

Yes these grants will increase the uptake of EVs.

But to get to a point where city centres will be free of internal combustion engined cars we will need to have a charging point at each and every parking spot.

There are several hundred cars parked overnight in my street. There are 4 charging points, and you can't leave the car there for more than 4 hours.

(Incidentally, those charging points are usually taken by cars that are not local - quite a few Amperas, and we don't have a single Ampera in our street.)

Now let's say they would double or triple the number of charging points... what do I do when I come back home from work? Hope for a free spot? And if not, keep checking every couple of hours? And then go back after four hours in order to move the car and avoid a fine?

Which is why the C350e is irrelevant for me.... unless I move out of town, but then I'll have to check if I can actually afford one :D

But as for cities, sadly I don't see a massive shift in our car buying habits untill each parking spot has a charger next to it.

Then maybe your saviour will be this :

Mercedes are already on this technology so who knows ?

Yes, this definitely makes more sense.
