can anyone out there give me an honest idea of the fuel consumption of the 4.2 litre model - read about it but would like an owners view please.

About 20mpg average for normal every day driving I would say.

Perhaps as much as 30 on a steady motorway run.

I've been using a 1996 CL420 as a daily driver for 2 years & covered about 15k miles. Mixed driving averages about 20 mpg and on a long run with a following wind I think I've seen around 25.
