Hi, My Mercedes E270 Cdi was involved in a low speed motorway crash - its a write off. What I wanted to know is if there is any benefit in buying the car back and selling the bits off it.

i suppose it depends on whats still good on it and whether you can be bothered or facilitate breaking it on your driveway. you'd be best to investigate how much you could, realistically, fetch for the parts vs buying back.

take a look on ebay and work out what bits are worth the most and weigh it up i suppose. may take some time to recoup though as i suspect W211, which i assume it is, will still cost quite a bit to buy back. Are they still too new for people to fit things themselves/mod them much etc.....

I'd salvage the comand, interior bits, if it has nice alloys and they are okay get them off but probably not worth the hassle.

Unless you have the space to keep it, time to strip and catalogue the parts, room to store them when you have and the patience to photograph the items individually and list on ebay, answer all the daft questions you'll receive - then probably not. Take the insurance money and run, I'd say.

I wanted to buy the salvage from my little accident, but they valued it at £900 therefore making it impossible to benefit from.

where has M** CENTRE LTD gone?
