Mercedes Leicester

Anyone got any good stories or horror stories with Mercedes Leicester? Considering a service plan with them.

Inchcape Group, at a previous employer 20 years ago we were able to get group discounts with them which sounds ominious, but I have had all very good experiences with both Leciester and Derby for service and repairs, my last two CLS and C Class service plans and extended warranties were with them. I had a few new and used Mercs from them and went back for everything except my current GT as they wouldn't sell me their demo!

How far are you from Nuneaton? Mercland there and are well recommended.

I've priced up my next three services at mercland and it works out about £200 cheaper overall than mercedes service care, but I'd also have to pay for breakdown cover which would negate a lot of the £200 saving. Thanks for the advice though.

If buying a Mercedes Service Contract then it’s not tied to a specific dealership so use them once, and if you don’t like them then use a different dealer for the next service. Double check to make sure you know whether you’re buying Mercedes or dealer service contract.

Depending upon where you live relative to Leicester there could be several options. I’ve seen positive comments online about both Derby and Coventry, although I‘ve only ever used Derby for servicing once and that was more than 10 years.

Mercedes Leicester is part of the Inchcape Group and whilst I have no direct knowledge of the Leicester Branch.
I can thoroughly recommend both Coventry and Stratford On Avon. The service from both has been excellent and would assume (?) that Leicester is the same. Great service Free coffee Bright environment.

Some time since used Leicester. Was really impressed with the staff at first but then they all changed and seemed different every time. Also were fine when the Viano was new but seemed to lose interest the longer we kept it. Had some problems under warranty and had to really pressure them even to put it to Mercedes. Got really fed up with them in the end tried an independent who were very friendly but not really up to it. Ended up with Mertrux in Derby who have a car franchise as well as commercial. You don't get the glamour of Leicester but it is very friendly and you can talk to them.
