I have bought a car that was serviced by Mercedes last April.

Do I get the balance of the roadside assistance automatically, or do I need to phone them up and have it transferred?

Thanks
Paul

Great thanks. I have UK cover already, but have a European business trip coming up and it will be useful for that

Does the emerency, breakdown, and MB buttons use a built-in sim in the car, or do they use whatever phone is attached via bluetooth ?
(mines a GLC, in case it's model specific).

You might need to check with the helpline if you have cover

I thought I had cover but dealer forgot to update the database
They subsequently corrected. (But that was in the last decade)

W205 at least, has a built in car SIM

Good point, the car was on a private plate so may not be on the system under the registration number

I've not used Mobilo for many years and when I did it was a very good experience, however, I am sure that I have read of poor service on here over the last couple of years. Might be worth a serch before you decide to rely solely on it?

Do you get mobilo when you have a service at dealers? Sorry for the highjack just curious

You do but only for the normal 'full fat' service, it doesn't come with the dealer 'economy'/cheaper services with fewer checks. Though not sure if they still do these.

Also depends on age of car. Newer cars don't have mobilolife, it's called something else and the service offering is slightly different.

Mines 5 yrs old. Next service isnt due for a while and it states gearbox oil and service A on the service website.

Depends on the T&C's offered when the car was new. Last one I queried required a full MB service history and because it had an indi stamp for one of the services MB refused to re-enrol the car for Mobilolife

That'll be mine scuppered then. It was serviced by mercland when i bought it
