Hi all,
What's this?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mercedes-Radi...1QQihZ008QQcategoryZ75327QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I've never seen one before but looks quite nice.
Where do you insert the nav disc? Looks like the centre section might fold down but still not wide enough for a CD.

Just wondering if anyone has heard of or seen these units. Seems very good price for a merc sat nav unit.

But is this genuine or some kind of con? I thought the single DIN sat nav unit for MB (by Becker) was the APS30?

Not seen one of those in agees :)

Just look for an audio 30aps and save a lot of trouble. That model only has a tape player on it too behind that big screen which drops down.

It's an APS 10 - it requires an external CD drive for navigation.

I've got a 6 disc changer in the boot. If I put an APS30 disc in that, would that enable the nav?

(Daft question really, there's obviously a designated disc for the APS10 units?)

Just looking at the pictures, can't see where the fibre cable connects to (for my multi changer) so assume it doesn't support the optic connection?

It was daft :D.

Keep an eye out for an APS30 unit - usually go for £150 - £200 on eBay. Will work with your CD changer and keep the OEM look.

it needs its own cd-rom drive in the boot just for navigation.

Its oldschool , don't buy it :)

Will do.
I fitted an APS30 into my old W208. Was really pleased with that, so will probably go for another.
Paid nearly 400 pounds for that about three years ago (Ebay).

Glad they are cheaper now but don't really want to go into three figures!!! (I'm dreaming, I know, but not desparate for one so will wait until an absolute steal comes along.)

Wow defo don't want that then. This is ideal if someone's looking for a replacement head unit to their existing system. But useless as a new install.

Thanks for the advice.
