Whilst I’ve been messaging about with my car I’ve found a Merc tech who has access to legitimate Merc star diagnostic software. Before I annoy him can this software be used to reprogram the ride height of my car ? I’d rather pay him to do it than buy a £5-600 OBD module ?

Have you asked him? He'll probably know if it can be done or not.
