It oculd be worse. The family car is a newish Espace. When that broke down it was a real hassle (the loan car offered was a Corsa!) MB have been superb to deal with no hassle to date.

I have repaired over 35,000 things in my life, half were under guarantee, many MB dealer are good now days

A colleague of mine runs a new shape Espace. One day he was driving it and the turbo failed. Guess what sucked in the broken bits of turbo, and killed itself in the process?

I don't think he paid the full bill for that, but he did pay the full bill for the replacement suspension struts that failed prematurely.

I think Renaults are known for that. I have a new 2.0 dci engine which hopefully is not so prone. Advice on Renaults is of you hear unusual Turbo noise, stop immediately and call for assitance!

What really was the dealers general attitude - they were saying that they would provde a hire car for 2 days. After that a replacement car was down to me, depsitethe car being only 3 months old. They changed their minds after some discussion, but it is this expeience which helps me appreciate MB Customer Care.
