Actually, before it all kicked off (at which point I decided to steer clear), I was going to ask just what "full" COMAND was. I thought there was only one version of COMAND available for each model range at any one time (albeit with optional or standard add-ons such as the multimedia interface and Linguatronic), but isn't COMAND Online just the current version of COMAND, and an advance over what went before? What did the pre-online version have that the current one doesn't?

The Edition 125 version of the E class comes with APS 50 not COMAND.

The OP of the thread in question wanted the full COMAND, so ordered a non ed125 vehicle from MB stock.

Thanks - makes sense now. I mistakenly thought all the Edition 125 models featured COMAND Online.

Thanks - makes sense now. I mistakenly thought all the Edition 125 models featured COMAND Online.

That's because the MB adverts said it comes with 'satellite navigation'... not COMAND. I made the same mistake when first reading it.
