Not really a surprise, it's an AMG so the parts will be double the usual price.

Only if you are a Mug. My daily drive is a 140000 mile 2006 C55 AMG and most of the parts needed to keep it going are readily available. I recently replaced all 6 of the 'tie rod' elements in the front my AMG with Lemforder parts for less than £600 while I was at it I replaced the engine mountings (Lemforder) for another £140.

Fair enough when the parts in question are shared with other models ; but not if they are unique .

Like you , I will purchase parts from recognised manufacturers : Bosch , Lemforder , ATE , Mann , ORIS , Behr .... but not always from the dealership .

Savings can be had without sacrificing quality , or paying over the odds .
