ML 270 CDI - BAS/ESP light on

Had this light on for 2 weeks now. sometimes stays off for 5 mins before coming on but most of the time on as soon as engine started.
Any thoughts on this please??
Also noticed today that preglow lamp stayed on for 5 mins before going out. Any ideas why this would have happened. never seen that before!!

Brake light switch or wheel sensor. Try the switch first, it's the cheapest, £12 from MB.

I would go for a brake light switch as well its the cheapest option as per the glowplug light you have one or more faulty glowplugs and requires replacing

Hello

Depending upon the year of your ML the brake switch it not under the pedal, its built into the servo, mines a 2003. No brake switch under pedal.... I know I had the the three lights on and looked into this.


I had the codes read at an indy, pointed to a rear wheel speed sensor which was behind the inner arch, the wiring had worn. This was repaired and fixed all for £40

It's a brake pressure sensor, usually the 'common' fault on those. However it could be anything...
