...followed one on a M-way for a few miles today. This doesn't appear on the official Mercedes site. It was rhd, and registered in NI...is it available in the UK, or was this a special?

Simply the old 420 Cdi updated for 2009 and rebadged as 450 Cdi in line with the change from 320 to 350 and 280 to 300 for the diesel ML line up. Engine remained the same 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 diesel with no increase in power (306bhp).
