I have a 2010 ml with command I wish I had bought 1 with harmon karden upgrade has anybody done any speaker upgrades ?

HK Can be put in, but its not cheap at all (I would guess at 3K but I havent costed it up before). But a small sub and some better front speakers would work well also.

Talk to alfie at Welcome to www.comand.co.uk !

was singularly unimpressed with Harman Kardon in my ML. Would suggest money spent on aftermarket improvements would be better spent - and of course transferable when you change car.

I really like HK in my ML :-) Had no HK in previous, and do like HK in the current one !

Done some more research and it really is a big job as its a seats out, carpet out and boot trim out job as the wiring goes everywhere !! Of course you could splice into some of the existing wiring and remove less, and not cut the roof lining to install the rear speakers in the D pillars, but I tend to recommend these are done as per factory wherever possible

But as flat6buster says, I suspect spending the money on some aftermarket stuff would be a better use as there is less labour involved, thus making it somewhat easier to remove at a later date if you wanted to (but I tend not to see the point in doing that with the excpetion of sub-wooofers since a lot of the improvement (and cost) comes from putting decent sound deadening in the doors
