As previously posted, I have a 2005 ML 270 CDI (W163) with Audio 10 and 6-CD player, and option 386 listed on the door frame.

I have looked through the excellent Mercupgrades site but can't match the phone console in the attached images to any they cover. There are two cabled boxes under the driver's seat but I haven't yet unbolted the seat to investigated what they are.

Some of the Nokia cradles for sale on eBay have images of their rear, but none seem to have a socket for the spigot shown on my images.

So can anyone please advise which table of cradles on Mercupgrades will match this console?

Thanks

Michael

Is that a cover on the top part of that holder. Does it come off.

Here's an image with the cover removed.

The connector looks like others in Mercuprade images, it's the bit below that I can't figure.

That is the exchangeable cradle connector. Is there no way to remove the bit in the middle?

As NPUK says, this is UHI. So your car is a 2004 model year (or it was retrofitted which is rare - i've done 2 UHI's in W163 ML pre 04)

However, someone has stuck that piece on below the UHI connector afterwards. The front section of the holder is available seperately should you damage it.
The UHI connector unclips from the black plastic it is clipped on to. That reveals 2 screws which when removed release that black plastic piece and allow the front and rear of the phone console to be seperated.

Richard

[edit] the UHI connector has one clip internally at the top and 2 at the bottom, so easy enough to pull off with your finger nails

npuk & Richard, thankyou for your replies

As suggested, I unclipped the UHI connector, unscrewed the bit underneath, and found that the spigot didn't have any wires or connections behind.

So I pulled off the spigot, it was held on with never-set glue so the console cleaned up nicely

Screwed and clicked everything back together and my console now looks like it's ready for a cradle to match my phone.

Thanks again

Excellent.

If you want to use Bluetooth adapter, as your car is D2B technology you can't use the Mercedes HFP and most of the MB cradles that use bluetooth internally such as 6300,6700,iPhone cradles

- use a ViseeO MB-2 instead

Richard
