I could do with a bit of urgent forum help please.....
Went to see an ML280 Cdi Sport 2008 58 plate facelift model. It drove well and was in very good condition, I checked all I could given the late time of the day and checked the history.
After viewing the car I checked the net for horror stories and found quite a lot of info reference oil leaks, particularly oil seal, breathers and manifold issues as a result (inner manifold skin breaking up due to oil ingress casuing failed turbos)......
Is the above true, does anyone have experience of this? Is it something that is a known watch out? Is there anything else to be wary of?
I guess that as the ML280 is the same but detuned version of the ML320 3.0 engine, that all models fitted with the 3.0 diesel engine are affected (E/S/R/CLS) etc?
Any help both positive and negative appreciated.
