ML300 sport front end knock

I know this post may seem abit vague with info but I'll give it a shot

My 2010 ML 300 sport (w164) has an occasional front end knock, doesn't happen all the time and mainly hear it I pull away at full lock or drive slowly over pot holes.
I've had both front wheels off and checked very thing I can access (I'm ex MOT inspector so know what to look for) but everything seemed tight and perfectly fine.

I also took it to a garage for its MOT and asked the inspector to pay particular attention to the front end but he couldn't find anything either

So I was wondering if anyone has experienced this?

Did you ever find out what the issue was? I’d be interested because I’ve got a similar thing happening top my 2006 ML320 Sport.
