ML320 starting problem

I have a 1999 ML320 51000 miles, owned from new. An intermittent starting problem has occurred first at a set of traffic lights where the car cut out and would not restart, cranked OK and all lights on but no start. Called RAC when they arrived guess what started OK, they ran their diagnostic and reported no faults. Next run in the car happened again, car cut out at pulling up in a parking space and would not re start, left it for 30 mins returned and it started OK. Since then I have twice went to the car from cold and it would not start, left it a few mins switching the alarm of and on a few times and the car starts, this is all in the last 3 days can anyone help?

Change the CPS at £75 from Bosch its the easiest first move
