I notice that the MobiloLife section of the MBUK website has been put back up again. In particular I noted that:

Q: Does MobiloLife cover me for any minor mishaps?
A: Yes, MobiloLife will cover you for two years* for:
Loss of Keys
Low oil/coolant level
Battery Failure
Tyre Damage

So I called a dealer and asked what "tyre damage" meant. Had this changed? Claimed nobody was quite sure. Called MBUK.

Sigh from end of phone as this generates many an argument. What it should say is that they will come and change your punctured wheel for the spare if you cannot be ****d or are unable to change it yourself. Cost of puncture repair or new tyre is not covered.

So now you know.

I am sure I saw something from MB just in the last couple of weeks that said a new benefit in MobiloLife introduced this year is that they will cover the costs of repair or replacement of punctured tyres - there was a cost limit mentioned, I think it was £400. I'll see if I can track down where that was, have a feeling it was on some MB junk mail so may no longer have it.

So would I as I'll be purchasing in the next few days! Z rated 245/40's aren't cheap!

Wouldn't everyone just go out and stick a nail in their tyres to get them replaced!

Think the tyre replacement is an option on the policy. The tyre will only be replaced if it is un-repairable and if there is more than a certain amount of tread. I would check the details but I have left all the paper work in London....

When you say 'option', do you mean included in Mobilolife or an optional extra you have to pay for????
