Morning rant !

Mondelez UK Limited

Nice one , i am going to complain as i think it is an udder disgrace that they are milking the public with their "shrinkflation" tactics.

I use Halfords for car parts and stuff but I would NEVER use their workshops, I have a small garage near me I use for MOT's, proper genuine lads.
Good reason not to use Halfords for MoT any more, anyway

To be fair i have never had any issues with them doing the MOT`s , we must have used them around a dozen times over the last few years for the cars in the household , including both the Porkers.

Maybe its because the vehicles are always very well presented both mechanically and visually so not may avenues for them to have a "cash grab" , wouldn`t use them for any servicing or tyres though.

On a plus point , because the car is booked into a timeslot i can pop to the gym and pick it up an hour later so minimal disruption to my day.

I’m genuinely surprised that the test fee hasn’t been increased for what seems like absolutely ages.

I mean DVLA/Gov increase the cost of VED every year, how come the (max) test fee hasn’t risen with inflation?

Just booked ,online, the boys Ford Fiasco in for an MOT at the local Halfords as we do with all our vehicles , they now charge a BOOKING FEE for a feckin MOT , WTF is that all about ?

At the time of booking a pop-up informed me that i had made a good decision in booking through Halfords and so far today around 5000 motorists had also made that sensible decision , not a bad earner for doing f**k all.

Got to love rip off Britain.

Plus , to make things ten times worse the Laughing Cheese spreading triangles have been reduced in size , but the circular box hasn`t so they rattle around now making it blatantly obvious that they are smaller , unlike the price.

Rant over , just off to find an (old) wee guy and have a fight.

Sorry about this but....

Halfords gave me a "free" £50 MoT, as a result of joining their £50 "membership" scheme. Which I did because I needed two headlight bulbs fitted, plus some other bits and pieces. Net result I got all my stuff for something like £40 off, and a welcome voucher worth £10, AND a year's worth of 5% discounts AND a free MoT, which I haven't cashed in yet. Oh, and free home delivery for any stuff that I order online

(To be honest I'm loathe to use their MoT and any other service, but I may yet use it.

I know you're across the border but it might be worth looking on line to see if that offer exists where you are.

Oh, and in France, Vache Qui Rit are still the same size and in triple layer packs too.

Obviously you mustn't let it auto-renew, but it worked for a package of stuff.

Might have missed it but how much do Halfords charge for their booking fee?

A third of the price of a 16 pack of Laughing Cow triangles = £1.
